while my aesthetic is usually clean and modern, i am absolutely mad about elaborate wedding ball gowns with showstopping design elements. one of my favorites of the spring 2011 collections has to be this gown from carolina herrera, with its delicate bodice and cascading full skirt.
it's romantic, lush, feminine — but also youthful and fresh at the same time. herrera is a favorite because she is such a master with fabrics and the feminine form. ah, i'm in love again.

Yes, I usually keep it simple, too... in fact, my own wedding gown was classic, elegant, and with few frills.
But there's something about gowns like this... with all the white drama... Vera Wang has a dress out now that is somewhat similar to this, and I'm absolutely in love.
